Method

How a measurement engagement unfolds

A clear path from intake to readout, shaped for product experiment measurement rather than open-ended analysis projects.

1

Intake

We capture the hypothesis, experiment window, audience, and the shipping decision waiting on the result. If the question is still fuzzy, we recommend Measurement Plan Design before any audit.

2

Access & instrumentation checks

Assignment tables, event exports, and metric definitions are reviewed against five core checks: unique assignment, timestamp order, holdout integrity, timezone cuts, and metric reproducibility.

3

Metric & guardrail review

Primary success metrics and guardrails are tested for decision usefulness. Vanity measures are named as such so they stop competing with the real bar.

4

Written findings

You receive a concise trust verdict, open risks, and recommended next actions — pause, extend, ship, or repair instrumentation.

5

Facilitated readout

Stakeholders hear the same story with sample size and experiment window kept in view. The session ends with an agreed next step.

Where this method fits

Use it when an app experiment is about to change onboarding, checkout, pricing display, or another product surface that deserves a defensible measurement story. It is consulting work, delivered by people, with artifacts you keep.
